CPA, CFP®
Richard began his career as a CPA with Grant Thornton, auditing financial statements for major public and private companies while completing graduate coursework in taxation at Golden Gate University. The work built a strong technical foundation, but he wanted to help families plan forward instead of reviewing what had already happened.
He moved into investment advising, starting at a national brokerage before deciding independence mattered more: no product quotas, no sales incentives, just advice built around the client. In 2014, he opened his own practice in Marin County with $3 million under management. Three years later, when Fiduciary Financial Group launched, that had grown tenfold, on referrals and results alone.
