Carine was born and raised in Sonoma County, California, and graduated from Sonoma State University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Business, emphasis in Accounting. A senior-year internship at a local public accounting firm during the 2004 tax season led to a full-time staff accountant role, and she went on to spend the next fifteen years with that firm, earning her CPA license early in her career.
There she managed both individual and business tax clients, often working with the high-net-worth families who owned the businesses she served, and gained deep experience with clients in the wine industry. She left in 2019 as a Senior Manager in the Tax Department to spend more time with family, returned to tax part-time in 2020, and joined the tax team at Fiduciary Financial Group for the 2021 season.
